Our Commitment
Restoring Hearts Outreach, Inc. is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Grief touches every life, and we want each person who comes here looking for help to be able to find it.
Accessibility Standards
We are working to conform our website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive limitations.
What We Have Done
- Used semantic HTML and clear heading structure to support screen readers;
- Provided descriptive alternative text for meaningful images;
- Designed for keyboard navigation across pages, menus, and forms;
- Maintained sufficient color contrast for body text;
- Used clear, plain-language writing wherever possible.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. As we add new content, embedded video, downloadable resources, and forms, we test and update our work. If you find a barrier on our site, please tell us so we can fix it.
Known Limitations
Some third-party tools embedded on our site (such as donation processors and video players) are governed by their providers’ accessibility practices, which we do not directly control. We choose vendors that publish accessibility commitments wherever possible.
